Mentors Recruitment Director
Peter Korzenik is the Founder and President of Give Back Global, a US-based NGO established in 2006 with a mission to strengthen the management and leadership capacity of health managers in East Africa by connecting them with seasoned US health care executives.
Before launching his own NGO, Mr. Korzenik spent 14+ years as a senior manager at International Executive Service Corps (IESC), a leading US international development nonprofit that sent skilled business executives to developing countries around the world on short- term volunteer projects. His final position at the organization was as Director of Global Program Resources, where he was responsible for the recruitment of IESC volunteer experts for clients in approximately 40 countries and also in charge of the Skills Bank database of 10,000+ senior-level business executives.
Mr. Korzenik is a “global connector” who has sent hundreds of business executives to developing countries around the world on short-term training and mentoring projects since 1991. More recently, he has focused his energy and attention on virtual mentorship for African health managers, and has been a key member of the Wired4Ex team since its launch in Kenya in January 2015. He is a strong believer in the transformative power of “peer-to-peer mentoring and in charge of selecting mentors for Wired4EX.He has a graduate M.Sc. degree in International Management from Boston Univesity Brussels (Belgium) and a undergraduate B.A. degree in Russian Studies from Vassar College (Poughkeepsie, NY).
Mr. Korzenik is active in his Norwalk, Connecticut, community and serves on several health-related boards and committees, both locally and globally. In his spare time, he enjoys art, live music, reading, hiking, kayaking, sailboat racing and hanging out with his two teenaged daughters.
